just a fun piece of information:

  Kate Voegele came to me  through my brother in law , Jim Rokakis, who lives in Rocky RIver Ohio and is treasurer of Cleveland. A few years ago,  Kate's Dad had called Jim about his daughter's talent. JIm introduced kate to us and we invited her to submit her work to the New York songwriters Circle contest in 2006, our very first contest ever!

  It was a wild live voting session in the back of the Bitter End's Green room and after alot of screaming and yelling from the various judges, kate was decided upon as our first place winner

   Since then, her career has skyrocketed. She is managed by a really great manager, Debbie Wilson.  She has been on the hit TV show, One Tree Hill. It is so amazing to see her explode and know that it all started at The New York Songwriters Circle, two years ago.   She is still an amazingly down to earth person like most midwesterners.

 I myself am from the Cleveland area.  Dont be jealous!!
